Blood Drive

SOUTH AMBOY — The Sacred Heart Council of Catholic Women, in conjunction with New Jersey Blood Services, will host a blood drive at the Sacred Heart school cafeteria located behind the convent on Walnut Street in South Amboy on Sunday, Feb. 12 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Prospective donors should note that there will not be any machines for the collection of platelets; however there will be “ALYX,” an automated red blood cell collection system which allows you to donate two units of red cells in just one visit.

For more information or to schedule an appointment, call New Jersey Blood Services at 1-800-933-2566.

The Sacred Heart Council of Catholic Women will also be having its annual homemade Irish Soda Bread sale at this time.
