New Brunswick Man Charged With Multiple Violations In 5 Car Crash

HIGHLAND PARK — A New Brunswick man has been charged with multiple motor vehicle violations after allegedly causing a crash that involved five vehicles on Route 27 around 3:30 p.m., Saturday, the Highland Park Police Department announced.

Police investigating the accident say that 33-year-old Todd Harris of New Brunswick, was operating a 2007 Nissan Murano northbound on Route 27 when it struck a vehicle near 1st Avenue, after he crossed into the southbound lanes. Harris then allegedly continued northbound on Route 27 where he struck three additional vehicles in the next block.

Harris and two others were transported to area hospitals with non life-threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation, according to police.
