CLARK — Kindergarten teacher, Melissa Sakowski and second grade teacher, Jennifer Kelleher started the first Hungry Writers Club at Valley Road School in Clark. This club was opened up to kindergarten and second grade students.
Due to the overwhelming number of “hungry writers” who wanted to join, two groups were created. During these meetings, students are able to write about any genre they please, while still learning about different writing strategies. The second grade students will also be mentors to the kindergartners.
