MADISON — Gina Vilar, a resident of Rahway and a sophomore at Fairleigh Dickinson University, is spending the spring 2012 semester studying at Wroxton College, FDU’s overseas campus in Oxfordshire, England. At FDU, Vilar is enrolled in the Political Science undergraduate program. Vilar plays for the Devil’s women soccer team.
Wroxton College, surrounded by 56 acres of lawns, gardens, lakes, and woodlands, is located in the heart of England, just minutes from Oxford and Stratford-Upon-Avon. During the semester, students are housed in a fully modernized 17th century Jacobean mansion that was once the home of Lord North, England’s Prime Minister during the American Revolution.
A semester at Wroxton is designed to provide a complete, integrated study abroad experience, combining a high quality academic program with the opportunity to travel and experience new cultures. Lectures, seminars and distinctive British tutorials teach courses given by highly qualified professors and distinguished guest lecturers from the worlds of business, government and the performing arts.
Since Fairleigh Dickinson University opened its British campus in 1965, Wroxton has been chosen as the overseas study site for students from more than 250 colleges and universities nationwide.
