Highland Park Receives Grant For Library

HIGHLAND PARK — Middlesex County Freeholder Charles E. Tomaro (far right) presents Highland Park Mayor Gary Minkoff (second from right) and the Borough of Highland Park with a $100,000 grant from the Middlesex County Sustainable Economic Growth Improvement Fund at The Board of Chosen Freeholders meeting on Jan. 19. The grant will allow the Highland Park Library to upgrade its HVAC system by replacing 20-year-old units with high-efficiency units. Officials estimate that the new units will use about 37% less electricity than the current units, meaning savings of more than $13,000 each year.
