Clark Planning Board To Hold Special Meeting On Miele’s Property Development

CLARK – The Planning Board will hold a special meeting to hear from the Sangiuliano Group, LLC on a proposed project to build 39 townhomes on the Miele’s Greenhouse property on Lake Avenue tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Arthur L. Johnson High School at 365 Westfield Avenue.

This will be the fourth meeting on the proposal; the Planning Board held three meetings to hear from the developer last year.

A citizens’ group called the Clark Neighbors opposes the project and is raising concerns about what it perceives as “overdevelopment” in the township.

During his state of the township speech earlier this month, Clark Mayor Sal Bonaccorso pointed out that a third of the property in Clark is open space, disputing claims that the town is being overdeveloped.
