PERTH AMBOY— When a crisis affects the community, the Cathedral International Church answers the call with a solution. In response to one of the nation’s hardest economic downturns since the Great Depression, Cathedral International in Perth Amboy will host a career development boot camp for its members and the surrounding communities.
The Career Ministry at Cathedral International is offering a series of roundtable discussions that will provide free sessions on social and professional online networking, goal development, business communication, resume and cover letter writing and interviewing skills to help people find employment.
“With the unemployment numbers still high throughout New Jersey as well as the rest of the country, we felt it was important for the church to provide job seekers with another avenue to assist with their job search and show that we are concerned about their welfare” says Renee Jenkins, president of the Career Ministry.
The Career Development Boot Camp will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., at the Donald Hilliard Jr. Affairs Complex on 205 Smith Street, Perth Amboy. Along with roundtable discussions, there will also be a Q&A panel of experts from various industries sharing their experiences and providing advice to job seekers.
This event is free and open to all. For additional information, contact Renee Jenkins at 1-732-826-5293, ext. 1876, or at 1-917-328-2550. You can also contact her by e-mail at email@example.com.
