ELIZABETH — In honor of American Heart Month in February, Trinitas Regional Medical Center will host two heart healthy events to help educate the community. Guests are encouraged to wear red to the events to help celebrate.
On Wednesday, Feb. 8, cardiologist Meherwan Joshi, MD, will be the speaker whose subject will be “Recognizing Cardiac Signs and Symptoms: When Should You See Your Doctor?” This “Go Red for Women” event exclusively for women will be take place 5:30 to 7 p.m. at The Westwood, 438 North Avenue, Garwood. Dinner will be served and all women are encouraged to attend.
Women and men are invited to attend a second event on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 5:30 to 7 p.m. Meherwan Joshi, MD, will again speak at the “Joyful Heart” Tea at which a light, heart-healthy dinner will be served. The event is designed to give the entire community education and information about heart health. The event will take place at Echo Executive Plaza, Suite 1A, 899 Mountain Avenue, Springfield.

During the entire month of February, the Williamson Street campus of Trinitas Regional Medical Center will be illuminated in red as a tribute to American Heart Month.
