RAHWAY — Madison Elementary School recently held an assembly in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. The theme was “Respect, Responsibility and Random Acts of Kindness.” Second and third grade students presented short videos showing how they meet each theme. The fourth graders read a poem about King and the fifth graders read excerpts of King’s “I Have A Dream” speech. The assembly and theme are part of Madison’s Character Education Program which is year round and focuses on monthly topics. (Photos courtesy of Madison Elementary Schools)
