Newark Bears To Hold Auditions For Dance Team, Anthem Singers

NEWARK – On Saturday, Jan. 28, the Newark Bears professional baseball team will hold auditions for dance team members, mascots and national anthem singers to perform at games this season.

Auditions will be held between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium, 450 Broad Street, Newark. Participants are asked to arrive no later than 10:30 a.m. for registration and to expect to stay the length of the audition. Singers and dancers should bring a headshot, but it does not need to be professional. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

There are two dance teams: The Bearettes (ages 5-16) and the Honey Bears (ages 17+). Mascot performers must be at least 5-foot-6 and 16 years old.

Singers of any age are invited to audition to perform the national anthem, God Bless America and the Canadian national anthem at the Newark Bears home games plus other events.

Parking will be located on Division Street or on Bridge Street.
