Police Seek Suspect In Attempted Gas Station Robbery

LINDEN – Police are seeking a suspect in an attempted gas station robbery that took place early Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to a call at Delta Gas Station at 2 West St. Georges Avenue at 2:30 a.m. on Jan. 10. The 21-year-old attendant told police that he had been threatened by a man holding a large kitchen knife, who demanded money.

The attendant grabbed the knife, suffering a cut on his index finger in the process. The would-be robber fled without getting any money. The attendant was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway to be treated for his injury.
