ELIZABETH – Police are seeking two suspects who were involved in a carjacking attempt in Elizabeth’s North End Wednesday night that slightly injured a 20-year-old Edison woman.

Two men hopped out of a white or tan Jeep Cherokee at the intersection of Jackson and North avenues at 10:35 a.m. on Jan. 4. They approached the victim, who had pulled her BMW over and parked to send a text. The men ordered her to get out of her car, and one showed her a handgun. She drove off, but a gunshot broke the BMW’s passenger-side window.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Detective Doug Fields at 1-908- 527-6506.
