Seventh Grader Earns Recognition In Poster Contest

PERTH AMBOY — Taliyah Gonzales, a seventh grade student at Perth Amboy Catholic Upper School, won honorable mention in the 2012 New Jersey Radon Poster Contest. The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection recognized and thanked Gonzales for helping to educate the public on the issue of radon. Her poster was selected out of numerous entries received this year. Her poster helped raise awareness about the harmful effects of elevated levels of indoor radon gas and the importance of having homes and schools tested for radon.
