Police Seek Robbery Suspects

PERTH AMBOY – Police are seeking two suspects accused of robbing a man who was walking on Stockton Street in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

Officers were dispatched to the area of the 300 block of Smith Street at approximately 3:17 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 1, on a report of a robbery.

The victim told police that he was walking south on Stockton Street towards Smith Street when he was approached by two men who punched him and knocked him to the ground. His assailants took $200 cash and fled the area. The victim immediately contacted police and was taken to Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy for medical attention.
