Emmy, Raritan Bay Medical Center’s First Baby of 2012

PERTH AMBOY — Emmy Hairston, daughter of Paris Hairston and Emma Serra of Carteret, was the first baby of the New Year born in the Dr. Sam Gordon Berkow Maternity Pavilion at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Emmy, the couple’s first child, arrived Jan. 2 at 4:42 A.M., weighing 7 lbs, 1 ounce.

In honor of delivering the medical center’s first baby of 2012, David Hutt, the grandson of Dr. Sam Gordon Berkow and Raritan Bay Medical Center Foundation Trustee presented the family with a gift basket of newborn items.
