CLARK — The December Breakfast Bunch Club meeting at Valley Road School in Clark featured former competitive figure skater and current elementary supervisor, Janeen Allmendinger as the featured speaker.

Allmendinger shared her passion and past experiences of figure skating with the fourth graders of Valley Road School. She showed the group her competition skates, figure skating dresses, and actual video clips of her performances. Allmendinger also explained the amount of dedication and determination required to compete at a professional level. She competed as a figure skater for roughly 12 years until she attended college. At one time, Allmendinger even competed against the 2002 Olympic Gold Medalist, Sarah Hughes in Lake Placid, New York.
