Catholic School Students “Adopt” Endangered Pet

CLARK — Students at St. Agnes School in Clark recently “adopted” a red panda, an animal that is endangered due to habitat loss and destruction. As part of their science curriculum, each student in second grade donated $3 to the World Wildlife Fund, whose mission is to conserve nature and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth. Students received an adoption certificate along with a plush red panda. This is the second year the second grade class at St. Agnes School “adopted” an endangered pet.
