CLARK– Girl Scout Brownies from troops 40549 and 40537, from Frank K. Hehnly Elementary School in Clark, had a special visitor at a recent group meeting. Sgt. Gillespie, the head of the Union County Sheriff’s Canine Unit, spoke to the girls about how the K-9 police dogs are trained to help them on their jobs. He brought his K-9 partner, Ander, to meet all of the girls. They watched him investigate the room, as in an actual assignment, looking for training drugs, hidden by his human partner.
