State Theatre Presents Toad The Wet Sprocket

NEW BRUNSWICK—State Theatre will present Toad the Wet Sprocket on Friday, Jan. 6, 2012 at 8 p.m. The band’s hits include “All I Want” and “Walk On the Ocean” from the platinum album Fear; “Fall Down” from the platinum album, Dulcinea; and “Good Intentions,” featured on the platinum selling Friends TV show soundtrack. Tickets range from $25-45.
This 4-piece band from Santa Barbara, CA, made their debut in 1986. To this day, their mellow, melodic folk-pop sound crowns them as one of the most successful alternative rock bands of the early 1990s, and now beyond. They parted ways in 1998 but have regrouped and are working on material for their first album in 15 years while they tour the U.S. Toad the Wet Sprocket—named in honor of a sketch by the Monty Python comedy troupe—is singer Glen Phillips, guitarist Todd Nichols, bassist Dean Dinning, and drummer Randy Guss.
