It seems I’m a little behind at times with whatever I decide to write about. I’m sorry about that. Every day is a treasure, and in most instances I’m always on the go.

At this point, I’m getting things together for a Christmas luncheon with a retiree group from church, something I have been doing for a number of years. It has always been an enjoyable event and whoever was able to attend found it fun. The only regret is the fact that so many good friends who were there in previous years have either moved away or passed away. We’re at that age, I know, when these things do happen. I’m fortunate at this time in life that I’m still able to enjoy the everyday things, and be able to participate in the good times.

Sometimes, I go off the track, and right now my thoughts are going that way. Many times, I want to comment about incidents that annoy me, so I’m going to let loose. For the life of me, I want to know, why does there have to be a break in a tv program to announce the verdict in the trial of Michael Jackson’s doctor? This was not a state or national emergency situation, and it was repeated a number of times in subsequent news reports.

Someone also sent me a notation about magazines continuing to send applications for subscriptions after they already renewed it. Then you have a bank sending four sheets with their statements and duplicating the information. What a waste, as this is what is happening to me. I will definitely write to them with a comment in no uncertain terms.

I will pick up on some of this another time, as there are many more dumb and brainless incidents I expect to report about. I hope everyone had a happy and peaceful Thanksgiving. Better late than never, right?
