Choral Society’s Messiah Sing Will Return To Garwood

GARWOOD — The Choral Art Society of New Jersey, Inc. will hold its annual Messiah Sing on Friday, Dec. 2, at 8 p.m. at St. Anne’s Church, 325 Second Avenue, Garwood.

Handel’s Messiah will be accompanied on the newly renovated pipe organ by John Thomas, organist at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Newark.

James S. Little, musical director of the Society, will conduct the beloved Handel oratorio. Audience members are invited to bring scores and join in the singing of both choruses and solo sections or simply come to listen.

Messiah Sing has become a Westfield-area tradition to kick off the holiday season. Admission to Messiah Sing is $10 at the door where scores may be borrowed for the evening.

The parking lot for St. Anne’s Church is accessible from 2nd Avenue, parallel with North Avenue. across from CVS and 7/11. A lift/elevator at the side entrance of the church allows easy access for the mobility impaired.
