NJ Youth Symphony To Perform In Rahway

RAHWAY — The New Jersey Youth Symphony (NJYS) will present a concert by the Youth Symphony and Youth Orchestra on Sunday, Dec. 4, at 4 p.m. at the Union County Performing Arts Center located at 1601 Irving Street in Rahway.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors; they can be purchased at the Union County Performing Arts Center box office, online at www.ucpac.org, or by calling 1-732-499-0441.

Under the direction of Jeffrey Grogan, the Youth Symphony will perform “Festive Overture” by Dmitri Shostakovich and “Pictures at an Exhibition” by Modest Mussorgsky and orchestrated by Maurice Ravel. The Youth Orchestra under the direction of Simon Lipskar will perform “Rainbow Body” by Christopher Theofanidis and Beethoven’s Symphony #5 in C minor.
