ELIZABETH—Four young women, students at Benedictine Academy in Elizabeth, have earned recognition for their academic and all-around achievements at the all-female, Catholic college-prep high school.
Selected as “Students of the Month” for October 2011 were, seated (l-r), junior Barbara Borges of Elizabeth and senior Andrea Mendoza of Union and, standing (l-r), freshman Stephanie Simoes of Union and sophomore Ewa Kowalczyk of Elizabeth.
Nominated by the faculty, the young women were selected for being positive role models, working to their fullest potential in academics and maintaining at least a B grade average.
