CLARK — Students in Grigoli’s Kindergarten classes at Valley Road School in Clark celebrated Thanksgiving by having a fruit feast.

Leading up to this activity, students had been studying the lives of both the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag native people.

The children all reflected on what they were thankful for and realized that it was a blessing to have a home, family, food, and other things that we take for granted. For the culminating activity students were invited to bring in various fruits to share with the class. Each student chose to dress up as either a Pilgrim or a Wampanoag. The students came together with the help of class parents to enjoy a feast just like the first Thanksgiving.
