PERTH AMBOY — The poor economy has left fewer nonprofit agencies able to provide food to families in need this holiday season, but Cathedral International will continue in its tradition of helping families to have food as long as members and friends share what they have.

“We want to give what we can so children and families who are less fortunate can have a good meal on Thanksgiving and throughout the year,” said Bishop Donald Hilliard, Jr., Senior Pastor at Cathedral International church.

The church distributed food packages including a turkey to families at its Perth Amboy, Plainfield and Asbury Park locations on Sunday afternoon.

Cathedral International will hold a Thanksgiving Eve Worship Service at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at the Perth Amboy and Asbury Park locations. For more information, visit www.cathedralinternational.org.
