RAHWAY — RWJ Rahway Foundation’s 20th Anniversary Fashion Show was a great day of fun and friendship with 373 guests and raised $66,000 to benefit RWJ Rahway, according to event organizers.
“It was a day of celebration for an event that began 20 years ago and has grown to become a wonderful fall tradition for so many,” said Marlene H. Lubinger, RWJ Rahway Foundation president.
The celebration included recognition of the chairmen through the years. Bunny Bowen, RWJ Rahway Foundation chairperson, honored past chairs Michele Chen, Bonnie Josephs, Debra Karp, Peggy Ann Nicora and current Chairman Cindy Timoni.
The boutique auction, chaired by Marla Lind, featured 160 beautiful gift baskets filled with wonderful items and gift certificates all donated by local merchants, employees, committee and community members. The 7th Annual Hospital Family Basket Contest winners were Best Overall – ”Sock It To Me, by RWJ Rahway’s Social Service Department; Best Interpretation of Theme – “Woof, Woof Boutique” by Dr. Eugene Lind’s Office Staff, and Most Artistic – “Eastern Elegance, by the hospital’s Employee Health Department.
