CLARK – The Drama Department of Clark’s Arthur L. Johnson High School will present their production of Shakespeare’s classic “Romeo and Juliet” this month. But it’s not quite the version you remember.

Director Peter Nevargic has taken the famous play and relocated it from Verona, Italy to Verona, New Jersey. While the revamped play has been modernized, Shakespeare’s words are still intact and tell the story of two impetuous teenagers who rebel against their parents to follow their passion to an untimely end—all in the name of love.

The play will be performed at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17, Friday, Nov. 18 and Saturday, Nov. 19 at the auditorium of Arthur L. Johnson High School, 365 Westfield Avenue, Clark. Tickets are $5.
