Trudi’s Corner: Odds & Ends

Have I told you, I normally pick up articles from the newspaper to write about? I pay attention to news reports and T.V. and also ads that come in the mail. Can I tell you, I’m so loaded with come-ons from definite ones, that I call them personally or by return mail, especially, when begging for funds with those addressed to my deceased husband?

I go one about a $1,000 allowance towards a hearing aid that I can say thankfully, I don’t need, as my hearing is excellent. Next, is the one from a dentist, “to our neighbor.” Trust me, I’m not a neighbor, and have called to have my name removed. I’ve received any number after that. They have more money than they need and I’m so fed up with their solicitations. I do know where I’m at, when it comes to personal problems and whom to contact. I do believe that I had written about this previously, and do apologize, because it irks me to no end. Please cease and desist – I’m sure many of you feel the same way.

I definitely got off the track at this point, and I can’t find the article I intended to write about. My last comment is about the cell phone situation. I’m sure it will never be resolved, because of the ignorance involved, when I still see how many are driving and talking, regardless of the fact about severe accidents that have occurred in that direction.

It must be time to find something happy to write about. Maybe this doesn’t apply, but I do remember the quote, “The evil that men do lives after them, and the good is often interred with their bones.”
