Vo-Tech Schools To Hold Holiday Fundraiser

SCOTCH PLAINS – The Academy for Information Technology (AIT) and Union County Technical High School (UCTECH), two career academies within the Union County Vocational-Technical School District, will hold their second annual Holiday Shopping Spectacular on Saturday, Dec. 3, in the West Hall Cafeteria from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. The campus is located at 1776 Raritan Road, Scotch Plains.

The free event is open to the public and will feature an assortment of items perfect for gift giving. Local vendors will be spotlighted and an assortment of items will be offered including: adult and children’s jewelry, candles, toys and items by Avon and PartyLite. Handmade items by Rage Creations will also be featured. Live poinsettias from Parker Gardens will also be available. “This event is a great way for our community to shop for the perfect gift for the whole family, while also supporting our students and schools,” commented Margaret Chowdhury, PSO Co-President. All proceeds from the event go directly towards supporting the PSO’s numerous programs including: Senior scholarships, parent forums and Project Graduation.
