Speak Up Club Helps Rahway Students Develop Debate Skills

RAHWAY — On Saturday, Oct. 22, the members of the Rahway High School debate team, known as the Speak Up Club, competed at Millburn High School. The club, which operates under the leadership of history teacher Patricia Peloso and special education teacher Clifford Herrington, gives students the opportunity to investigate and debate different aspects of local and national topics. Students who participate as part of the Speak Up Club have the opportunity to enhance their speaking skills, critical thinking, teamwork and rhetorical skills during practices and competitions.
