Blood Drives Offer Way To Honor Veterans

STATE — Veteran’s Day is Friday, Nov. 11 and New Jersey Blood Services (NJBS), a division of the New York Blood Center (NYBC) is calling upon the community to donate blood in recognition of our veterans, and in honor of those who currently serve to protect our country and freedom.

This Veteran’s Day, consider donating at one of the following blood drives in New Jersey:

11/11/11 St. Henry’s Catholic Church, 77 West 28th St, Bayonne 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm

11/13/11 St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Summer Road, Three Bridges 8:30 am to 2:30 pm

A single blood donation can help save the lives of three people, and will help maintain your community blood supply this holiday season. If you cannot donate but still wish to participate in bringing crucial blood products to patients in need, please consider volunteering at a local blood drive.
