Reward Offered For Information Relating To Rahway Shooting

RAHWAY – Union County Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for shooting a 21-year-old man near the 1700 block of Essex Street on Nov. 3.

According to Detective Sgt. Robert Conroy of the Rahway Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area at 11:08 p.m. after receiving a report of a shooting. They found the victim lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to University Medical Center in Newark, where he was clinging to life as of Tuesday morning, police said.

The Rahway Police Department continues to canvass the area for witnesses and video surveillance from surrounding businesses.
