EDISON — Eighth grade students Sonali Shah of Edison, Akilah Mouzon of Piscataway, Cameron Cabrera of Carteret, Lara Albrechcinski of Linden, Max Needle of Scotch Plains and Ciara Varley of Woodbridge show their support for the Hats on For Cancer drive held at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School. The Middle Student Council sponsored drive on Oct. 28. The Middle School asked for all students to contribute at least $2 and wear a hat to help raise funs for children with cancer. Many of these children lose their hair during their chemotherapy treatments and decide to wear hats. Many students showed their awareness by wearing hats and also making donations. The entire school participated and raised $553. The Middle School Student Council is going to add $447 to this amount and send a check for a $1,000 to Hats on for Cancer.
