Rahway Residents Should Expect Higher Water Bills Next Year

RAHWAY – City residents should expect higher water bills in 2012. According to the Rahway Rising blog, the City Council is expected to pass an ordinance at the Nov. 14 meeting that would increase water rates by five percent to help close a nearly $1.2 million deficit in the city’s water utility. The proposed rate hike is expected to generate approximately $231,000 annually.
