PAHRUMP, Nev. – Former New Jersey resident Christopher Kinder faces 5,000 counts of child pornography.

Nye County sheriff’s deputies arrested the 43-year-old Kinder at his home in Pahrump, Nevada, on Thursday after they received a tip from the FBI that Kinder had more than 5,000 sexually explicit pictures and videos of children on his computer.

Detective David Boruchowitz says Kinder, who has lived in California, New Jersey, Florida and Missouri, has a previous conviction for lewdness with a child in New Jersey.

Kinder has been identified to live in Monroe Township, South Amboy, Spotswood and Old Bridge, so Nevada detectives are reaching out to his prior addresses, looking for possible victims.

Detectives said they are seeking help from media and authorities in those cities to identify if Kinder has had any suspicious activity with any children there.
