Cranford Library To Collect Books For Kids

CRANFORD–The Cranford Public Library will launch its 19th annual “Books for Kids” campaign on Tuesday, Nov. 1. Each year thousands of disadvantaged children from all across New Jersey are given the chance to own a new book through this program.

Give a child the gift of reading by bringing a new, unwrapped book to the library collection box. Books for children from preschool through age 14 are needed. They will be distributed by the Cranford Family Care Association to local families in need.

Established in 1991, “Books for Kids” is a statewide program sponsored by the Children’s Services Section of the New Jersey Library Association. Donations will be accepted through Sunday, Dec. 11.

The Cranford Public Library is located at 224 Walnut Avenue. For more information, call the library at 1-908-709-7272 and ask for John Malar or email
