EDISON – The Edison Recreation Department will be offering two trips and two events to close out 2011.
Up first is a trip to the biggest parade in the world, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Nov. 24. Suitable for the whole family, this trip is expected to fill up quickly.
On Wednesday, Dec. 7, Edison Township will celebrate the upcoming holidays with the annual tree lighting event. Bands, choirs, snacks and giveaways will all be part of the fun. A visit from the jolly guy from the North Pole and the tree lighting will highlight the event.
On Saturday, Dec. 10, get the holiday spirit with a trip to New York City. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the city at your leisure as you take in New York City dressed up for the holiday.
Last but not least, Edison Township’s Festival of Lights Celebration will take place on Thursday, Dec. 22. Join family and friends as officials light the Township Menorah in honor of Hanukkah. Entertainment, snacks and giveaways are all part of the fun.
