WOODBRIDGE – At age 17, Morissa Schwartz has won hundreds of contests and has written a book about her experiences called, “A Career In Contests.” She’s decided to donate a portion of the proceeds from the book to a veterans charity, Homes for Our Troops.

Homes For Our Troops helps disabled veterans by adapting homes to their needs. For example, if a veteran now uses a wheelchair, the organization might build a ramp to improve access to the home.

Schwartz spends time volunteering at veterans homes and decided that it was time to do more to give back. Her book, which offers advice on which contests to enter and how to win, is available from major booksellers including Amazon.com.
