Rahway Resident Gets Ready For Musical Production

MAPLEWOOD — Rahway resident Robert Pape rehearses a dance number from the upcoming Strollers production of “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.” Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is new musical with book by Jeffrey Lane and music and lyrics by David Yazbek, based on the film about two con artists vying for wealthy women on the French Riviera. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays between Nov. 4 and Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. and Sundays Nov. 6 and 13 at 2 p.m. at the Bergdorff Performing Arts Center, 10 Durand Road in Maplewood. This musical marks the first show of Strollers 80th continuous season as a community theater in New Jersey. In celebration of this milestone, the opening night performance will be followed by a free reception in the building’s community room with light refreshments being served.
