RAHWAY — As part of Madison Elementary School’s character education program, Blue Sky Puppet Theatre paid a visit performing “The Missing Piece.” The story began when Seymour Bone, a toymaker and inventor, discovered that his son, Rufus, had been selfish and mean towards his friends and siblings. Seymour sent Rufus a puzzle, a riddle that he thought would help him. It was a mirror with a missing piece. Rufus was angry when he received the gift because he thought it was broken. So he set out to return it to his father. During his journey back to his father he realized, with the help of some characters he met along the way, that the missing piece was within himself, and that he would not get peace of mind when he is selfish.
