Oct. 4 at 2:17 p.m. – In the vicinity of 45 Central Avenue, Officer Antonio Manata arrested Elizabeth resident Ksaidsme Barlow, 34, on outstanding warrants from East Orange, Plainfield, Scotch Plains and the Union County Sheriff’s Department for contempt of court. He was subsequently turned over to the Union County Sheriff’s Department.

Oct. 5 at 6:39 p.m. – At 1184 Raritan Road, Officer Daniel Pitts arrested Fanwood resident Grace Diwane, 59, and charged her with shoplifting at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore at 1184 Raritan Road. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date.

Oct. 6 at 10:20 a.m. – Officer Kenneth Gaulette investigated a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle, which was parked at a residence on Sweet Briar Drive.

Oct. 7 at 2:56 p.m. – In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway Circle, Officer Brian Renda arrested Bronx, N.Y. resident Luis Ramos-Marquez, 31, and charged him with possession of CDS, possession of CDS paraphernalia, aggravated assault, resisting arrest and obstruction. He was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail.

Oct. 9 at 2:01 p.m. – Officer Christopher Tuccio investigated a report of two separate thefts of items from lockers at Bally’s Total Fitness Center at 140 Central Avenue.

Oct. 10 at 3:37 p.m. – Officer Marty Venezion investigated a report of a theft of a delivery package from the porch of a residence on Kathryn Street.

Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. – Officer Kenneth Gaulette investigated a report of a theft of a purse from a shopping cart at the Shop-Rite Supermarket at 76 Central Avenue.

Oct. 14 at 6:37 p.m. – In the vicinity of the 600 block of Madison Hill Road, Officer Kenneth Gaulette arrested Linden resident Joshua Lutz, 23, and charged him with possession of CDS. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date.
