RAHWAY — Roosevelt School in Rahway recently took part in “Week of Respect.” The school geared up to teach students about preventing harassment, intimidation and bullying throughout the week. The initiative is mandated by the new law, which was signed in January, and is considered by many to be the toughest legislation for bullying prevention in the nation. One of the many activities was a grades 3-5 poster contest. Students designed Acts of Kindness posters which are hanging up around the school. Pictured is the fifth grade winner Steven Cuenca.
