NEW BRUNSWICK — The Provident Bank Foundation recently supported The State Theatre Regional Arts Center in New Brunswick with a $10,000 grant as part of a multi-year pledge for its “Milk & Cookies” series.

“This is a great, interactive and educational program for children and their families. It gives children the opportunity to participate in something that is both informative and entertaining. The Provident Bank Foundation is pleased to support this year’s series,” said Kendall Warsaw, executive director of The Provident Bank Foundation.

“Milk & Cookies” is a free, interactive storytelling experience for children ages 3-8 and their parents or guardians. Filled with puppetry and music, “Milk & Cookies” invites young people to discover the joy of watching and interacting with the arts, all while enjoying a favorite snack.

“Milk & Cookies” takes place one Saturday each month with shows running at 10 a.m. and noon. The upcoming series begins Oct. 29 with presenter Big Jeff and the Bouncy People and “Big Jeff’s Halloween Routine.” Additional performances will take place on Nov. 19 and Dec. 10.

“We are so grateful to The Provident Bank Foundation for its continued support of ‘Milk & Cookies.’ This is a valuable program that we are pleased to be able to offer local youth who will learn in a fun, dynamic atmosphere,” said Kelly Blithe, director of public relations for the State Theatre.

Space for the “Milk & Cookies” series is limited and advance registration is recommended. To register, contact Jennifer Cunha, education assistant, at 1-732-246-7469, ext. 545 or jcunha@statetheatrenj.org. For more information, visit www.statetheatrenj.org.
