Local Men Complete Navy Plebe Summer Training

ANNAPOLIS, Md.–Navy Midshipman Christopher M. Troche, son of Debra S. and Edgar S. Troche of Perth Amboy and Navy Midshipman Sean T. O’Brien, son of Sheila and Troy O’Brien of Elizabeth, were among more than 900 freshmen that recently completed Plebe Summer while attending the United States Naval Academy.

Plebe Summer is the summer training program which is required of all incoming freshmen to the U.S. Naval Academy. The six-weeks training developed the midshipmen morally, mentally and physically. They were also instilled with the highest ideals of duty, honor and loyalty. They will go on to complete the academic year as a Midshipmen.

Troche is a 2011 graduate of St. Joseph High School of Metuchen. O’Brien is a 2011 graduate of Academy For Information Technology of Scotch Plains.
