PISCATAWAY — Christ United Methodist Church in Piscataway will sell pumpkins and gourds on its front lawn during the weeks leading up to Halloween. The Pumpkin Patch will be open to the public Oct. 8 to 31 from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The church is located at 485 Hoes Lane in Piscataway.

The church has designated the Greater Plainfield Habitat for Humanity as the primary benefactor of its annual Pumpkin Patch fund-raising effort.

As part of its mission efforts, the church will help build a home in partnership with the Greater Plainfield Habitat for Humanity. The church uses Pumpkin Patch profits to support multiple mission projects, but it is designating a major portion of this year’s proceeds for the purchase of construction materials for the homebuilding project.

Pumpkin Patch sales also provide a primary source of income for the Native Americans who raise the pumpkins and gourds in New Mexico.
