Rahway Scouts Begin A New Year

RAHWAY – On Friday, Sept. 30, there was a merging of Rahways two surviving Cub Scout packs, Pack 47 and Pack 200. The two packs came together at First Presbyterian Church on Grand Avenue in Rahway to combine their talents and resources for an informative night of recruitment.

Boys in grades 1 to 5 from all four grammar schools were invited to experience what Scouting is. The evening was led by new Cub Master Gretchen Allen-Kellaway, former Cub Master Steve Greeble, Chris Barwick, Cub Master from Pack 200 and the many parent volunteers who diligently give their time to ensure that Rahway boys have a bright future.

Demonstrations were led by Cub leaders, returning Scouts and parents, showing new recruits what to expect from Scouting.

There is still time to join this experience. If you have a son in grades 1 to 5 and want him to learn honor, dignity and life long friendships, send an email to Pack47rahway@hotmail.com or Mbarwick1492@comcast.net to receive more information.
