Edison Readies For Recreation Halloween Party

EDISON – The Edison Recreation Department has announced plans for their 24th Annual Township Halloween Party. This “bewitching” event will be held at the Stelton Community Center, 328 Plainfield Avenue, Edison, on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A colorful Costume Contest, which will begin promptly at 11:45 a.m., will highlight the Halloween Party. Township children between the ages of two and eighth grade will be invited to participate in all the “ghostly” fun. Hundreds of costumed children are expected to participate and all “costumed” parents can make it a family affair and join in the fun with their children. All children must pre-register for this event at the Stelton Community Center, 328 Plainfield Avenue, or the Minnie B. Veal Community Center, 1070 Grove Avenue, Edison by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21. Registration is ongoing.

Once arriving at the Stelton Community Center, all registered children will be able to visit the “Enchanted Pumpkin Decorating Patch”, “Recreation Candyland”, and the “Haunted Holiday Craft Table” before exiting with Halloween souvenirs. A D.J. will be on site to keep the ghouls and ghoulettes jumping with music, contests and games.
