Workshop Will Show Small Businesses How To Sell To Picatinny Arsenal

UNION — UCEDC, a statewide non-profit economic development corporation, is hosting a free workshop for local businesses interested in selling to the Picatinny Arsenal and other governmental agencies. The event is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at UCEDC’s headquarters in Union.

Picatinny Arsenal works extensively with businesses and universities to bring the world’s best warfighting technology to our soldiers. It is committed to contracting with small businesses for supplies, hardware, spares and services in support of weapon systems and equipment. A contracting expert from Picatinny Arsenal will provide detailed information on how to successfully respond to bids.

In addition, staff from UCEDC’s Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) will lead an interactive session on the Essentials of Government Contracting. Topics covered include monitoring and responding to solicitations, processing paperwork, and writing proposals.

The workshop is open to all New Jersey small businesses and is free of charge. For more information and to register, visit UCEDC’s website at and click on Events or call 1-908-527-1166.
