CLARK – Three students at Mother Seton Regional High School in Clark have been named Commended Students in the 2012 National Merit Scholarship Program, Sister Regina Martin, principal, announced.
The commended students are Maria Clarice Chua of Edison, Virginia Keating of East Brunswick and Amanda Panicali of Rahway. A Letter of Commendation from the school and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which conducts the program, will be presented to these three seniors.
These students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2012 competition by taking the 2010 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
“These students follow a rigorous Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors Level curriculum at Mother Seton. In addition, they are actively involved in many extra curricular activities” said Sister Regina.
Chua is a graduate of Saint Matthew School in Edison; Keating is a graduate of Saint Bartholomew School in East Brunswick and Panicali is a graduate of Rahway Middle School.
