Blessing Of Pets At Willow Grove Church Today

SCOTCH PLAINS — Bring your dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils and hermit crabs to the Willow Grove Church lawn on this afternoon, Sept. 25, between 4 and 5:30 p.m. to receive a blessing from Rev. Cynthia Cochran-Carney. If your pet is sick or has died, bring a picture and the pastor will include this pet in a blessing.

All pets and animals are welcome, but must be on a leash or in a cage. Come at 4 p.m. for a brief service of prayer and singing. Each pet will receive an individual blessing. Afterward there will be a dog agility course demonstration by Sylvette Hartroth and her award-winning Shetland sheep dogs. There will also be a puppy-petting pen. The rain date for this event is Sunday, Oct. 9.
